Pet Portraits- Mae, Kora, & Kali

There is nothing truer in this world than the love of a good dog - Mira Grant

For what was a normal afternoon for everyone else in Charlotte, Mae was celebrating the life of a best friend, a family member, a therapist, a pillow that licked you when you laid on it…..her dog Kora.

Kora’s battle with cancer was coming to end and what better way to preserve the wonderful memories of their life together than pet portraits at Carmel Road Neighborhood Park while bringing along Kora’s sister Kali for a full family session!

Mae wanted to make sure her last days were filled with nothing but love and joy from a photoshoot to her own party at Dog Bar in Noda that resulted in an endless amount of burgers and kisses for Miss Kora.

I was honored to be able to capture their day together and to be able to freeze some memories in time forever.

There will never be the right words to say when it comes to losing a pet, it is definitely one of the greatest losses we experience in life. It changes the life for them and for you, especially when you adopt. Kora was adopted from Harvey’s Heroes Dog Rescue of the Carolinas as a young pup and had a life full of adventure and all the love in the world.

Kora has since crossed that rainbow bridge but her memory will live in the heart of her mama forever, it is a love that is never ending. If you would like to adopt a new family member and support a local rescue please check out https://harveysheroesdogrescue.com/
